Glaston Introduces FlatGuard Roller Wave & Edge Lift Gauge

Glaston has introduced the FlatGuard Roller Wave & Edge Lift Gauge, a compact tool designed to help manufacturers accurately measure the optical quality of tempered glass.

The new gauge combines two essential measurements, roller wave and edge lift, into a single, easy-to-use instrument. Built into a 420 mm ruler, the device allows glass processors to quickly assess surface distortion and edge deformation caused during the tempering process.

By integrating both measurement functions in one tool, FlatGuard simplifies quality control procedures on the production floor. Operators can easily position the gauge on the glass surface to determine whether the panel meets required flatness tolerances.

The tool is designed to support quality inspections in accordance with relevant European EN standards, ensuring that tempered glass products meet industry requirements for optical performance and consistency.
