Beta Glass Plc has officially entered a new chapter following its acquisition by Helios Investment Partners in a transaction valued at €100 million.

The deal was completed through the acquisition of Frigoinvest Nigeria Holdings, which indirectly owns controlling interests in Beta Glass and Frigoglass Industries Nigeria Limited (FINL). While Beta Glass operates in the consumer non-discretionary glass packaging sector, FINL focuses on the production of plastic crates and metal crowns.

With two manufacturing facilities in Nigeria and three operational furnaces producing glass in three different colours, Beta Glass has established itself as a key player in the regional packaging industry. The company produces approximately 700 tonnes of glass per day, serving beverage and consumer goods markets across Nigeria and neighboring countries.

The transaction, first announced in December, is expected to be finalized in the first quarter of the year. According to Helios, the acquisition aligns with its strategic focus on resilient consumer sectors. The firm plans to support Beta Glass’ management in strengthening supply security, meeting rising domestic demand, and scaling operations across the region.

Gagik Apkarian, Chairman of the Frigoglass Group, highlighted Beta Glass’ record-breaking performance and strong industry margins, noting the significant interest from both domestic and international investors.

Tope Lawani, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Helios, emphasized the company’s strong market reputation and growth potential, reaffirming Helios’ commitment to scaling high-performing businesses across Africa’s consumer sector.
