Set amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Velke Karlovice, Czechia, the exquisite Wellness Hotel Horal mountain resort provided a captivating backdrop for this momentous event. Welcoming an esteemed assembly of approximately 200 glass experts from over 20 countries, including the USA, Japan, Korea, India, and several European nations, such as the UK, the seminar received resoundingly positive feedback from its participants.
Collaborative Endeavors: ICG Technical Committee Meeting and Glass Defects Workshop
In conjunction with the seminar, the ICG Technical Committee 15 & 21 Meeting and the GS Glass Furnace Model (GFM) User Meeting convened, drawing 40 glass specialists. Simultaneously, a Glass Defects Workshop captivated the interest of around 50 individuals, fostering an environment of collaboration and knowledge-sharing.

Furthermore, GS showcased their innovative developments related to the NIR Furnace camera, integrating AI software with ESIII and Industry 4.0, enabling the automation and optimization of the glass melting process through automated batch monitoring.

The esteemed 8th GS Modelling Award was bestowed upon Graham Unwin from NSG Pilkington, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to implementing simulation tools within his company and his active involvement in conferences worldwide.
