UK Glaze Ltd has unveiled a new £400,000 glass production unit and showroom in Royston, marking a major expansion into the premium decorative glazing market. The new facility showcases Gerda front doors as its centrepiece, alongside custom glass splashbacks, mirrors, balustrades, wall panels, and bespoke furniture, all produced with precision in-house.
Founded by Mohammad Kaboutari, UK Glaze builds on his long-standing expertise as a master glazier. Having arrived in the UK from Iran with only £27, Mohammad first launched MK Glass on Caledonian Road, later expanding into Empire of Glass. His reputation for exceptional craftsmanship led him to partner with Pioneer Trading Company, the exclusive UK distributor of Gerda doors imported from Poland.
Impressed by Gerda’s security performance, thermal efficiency (low U-values), and distinct aesthetic appeal, Mohammad became one of the brand’s top UK sellers. The move to Royston allowed him and his brother to focus entirely on high-end, design-led glazing solutions under the UK Glaze brand.
Supported by Gerda’s responsive service team and Pioneer’s managing director Danny Williams, UK Glaze aims to set new quality standards in luxury glass and door installations, combining advanced production technology with exceptional customer care.
