Trulite Glass & Aluminum Services has permanently closed its fabrication facility in Ijamsville, Maryland, following sustained economic and financial challenges that have affected the operation’s long-term viability. The closure, effective on 19 June 2026, was confirmed through a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act filing submitted to Maryland authorities.

According to the notice, 21 employees have been made redundant as part of the plant’s permanent shutdown. The workforce reduction spans a broad range of functions, including production assistants, machine operators, glass fabricators, shipping and loading personnel, delivery drivers, office administration and sales. The closure represents the complete cessation of manufacturing activities at the site.

Based in Peachtree City, Georgia, Trulite Glass & Aluminum Services is one of North America’s largest architectural glass and aluminium fabricators and distributors, employing approximately 2,800 people across the United States and Canada. Despite expanding its manufacturing footprint through the acquisitions of American Insulated Glass in 2024, followed by Dependable Glass and Insulite Glass in early 2025, the company stated that economic and financial hardships ultimately led to the decision to discontinue operations at the Maryland facility.
