The Sea Rooms: A Modern Coastal Dining Landmark in Rosslare

The Sea Rooms

Kelly’s Resort in Rosslare, Co. Wexford, a family business spanning five generations, has expanded its legacy with the opening of The Sea Rooms, a contemporary shoreside restaurant that blends tradition with modern design. Officially launched in summer 2023, the project was brought to life in collaboration with LUCA Architects and Reynaers Aluminium, delivering a striking two-storey glass structure that celebrates its coastal setting.

The Sea Rooms

Designed to maximise views of the Irish Sea and Kelly’s lush gardens, The Sea Rooms offers an exceptional indoor/outdoor dining experience. The upper level features sweeping sea vistas framed by ConceptWall 50 curtain wall systems, while the lower sunken terrace includes ConceptPatio 155 Lift-Slide doors, seamlessly connecting the interior to the outdoors. Minimalist SlimLine 38 steel-look windows and doors further enhance transparency while ensuring durability against Ireland’s coastal climate.

For owners Bill Kelly and his daughters, Laura and Grace, the project is both a nod to heritage and a step into the future. Named in tribute to “The Tea Rooms” founded in 1895, The Sea Rooms embodies precision engineering, sustainability, and refined craftsmanship. With chef Chris Fullam leading the kitchen, the restaurant sets a new benchmark for coastal dining in Ireland.
