Vitro Architectural Glass is celebrating a major milestone as its advanced glazing solutions are showcased in five of the American Institute of Architects’ COTE® Top Ten Award-winning projects for 2025. The recognition underscores the vital role of Vitro’s Solarban® low-e glass, Starphire Ultra-Clear® glass and Acuity® glass in helping architects achieve bold goals in energy efficiency, low embodied carbon and sustainable design.
These projects include Seattle’s Wagner Education Center, which employs Solarban® 70 glass for daylight and climate control, and Iowa’s Stanley Center for Peace and Security, featuring Solarban® 60 glass in a net-carbon-negative renovation, the first in Iowa to achieve Living Building Challenge certification. Founders Hall at the University of Washington integrates Solarban® 72 Acuity® glass into a mass timber frame, while Dartmouth College’s Irving Institute pairs Solarban® 60 Starphire® glass with high-performance systems to support decarbonization.
In San Antonio, Credit Human Headquarters sets a new standard for healthy workplaces with Solarban® 90 quad-silver glass, biophilic design and a solar-powered roof that cuts potable water use by 97%. Collectively, these award-winning projects demonstrate how Vitro glass technology empowers architects to design innovative, resilient and environmentally responsible buildings.
