Stanpac, a leading North American packaging company, is marking the first anniversary of its acquisition of Loggerhead Deco, a glass decoration specialist based in Portage, Wisconsin, USA. The move, finalized in mid-2024, has significantly enhanced Stanpac’s capabilities in the field of glass container decoration.
With its roots in Smithville, Ontario, Stanpac has long been recognized for its innovation in direct screen printing on glass bottles, eliminating the need for paper or film labels. The acquisition of Loggerhead Deco represents a major step forward in expanding both production capacity and regional presence across the United States.
The Portage facility brings additional expertise and infrastructure, allowing Stanpac to offer a broader range of decoration treatments. These include opaque and translucent spray coatings, spray frost ceramics, UV and precious metal inks, decal and medallion application, and full 360° wrap printing. These finishes not only enhance visual appeal but also support product differentiation and branding in highly competitive markets.
Cam Simmons, Vice President of Stanpac Ink, commented:
“It has been an exciting next chapter for Stanpac’s glass container decorating division, and we’ve enjoyed working alongside the highly skilled team in Portage over the past year.”
Stanpac serves diverse industries including wine, spirits, dairy, specialty food, and non-alcoholic beverages. Its commitment to quality, creativity, and sustainability continues to drive innovation in the glass packaging sector.
As a 100% privately held company owned by the Witt brothers, Stanpac remains focused on long-term growth and customer-centric solutions. The successful integration of Loggerhead Deco underscores Stanpac’s strategic commitment to expanding its decorating expertise and supporting its partners with high-quality, label-free packaging solutions.
