Sparklike has introduced a free online IG Configurator to help manufacturers quickly determine whether their insulating glass units (IGUs) are compatible with the Sparklike Laser, enabling accurate, non-invasive gas measurements. IGU structures differ, and not all glass types respond the same to laser measurement, making verification critical before investment.
Developed in collaboration with GED Integrated Solutions, the tool allows users to select double or triple glazing, choose glass types for each pane, and receive instant compatibility results. Sparklike Laser operates at a 760nm near-infrared wavelength, which is oxygen-specific, making proper IGU verification essential.
The configurator provides guidance based on common glass types and known measurement behavior, helping manufacturers identify when Sparklike Laser is suitable or when alternatives, such as Sparklike Handheld for double glazing, should be considered. While it offers reliable insights, physical testing is still recommended to confirm results.
