Located in Jiuxianqiao, Chaoyang District, Beijing, SPARK 761, Beijing Digital Economy AIDC by llLab. redefines industrial architecture as a space where humans and AI coexist. Completed in 2025, the 35,765.81 m² facility integrates computing power, human activity, and public engagement, transforming a data centre into a dynamic, evolving organism.

The architectural concept goes beyond traditional enclosed data centres. By embedding an AI ecosystem into the building itself, the design allows the structure to evolve and adapt in real time, making the invisible world of computing power visible and understandable.

Its grid-like façade exemplifies this approach: transparent glass boxes host offices, exhibition halls, and multipurpose rooms, while opaque sections provide contemplative spaces. Exposed ducts and cooling systems create a “heartbeat,” a visible rhythm of airflow and operation during the day.

At night, the building’s physical grid recedes, replaced by virtual light projections and illuminated screens that display the luminous activity of the AI systems. This interplay of glass, light, and structural elements transforms the facade into a communication interface, expressing the building’s computational processes.

By revealing previously hidden technology and encouraging direct interaction, SPARK 761 merges functionality, human experience, and digital evolution, creating a unique architecture that embodies the coexistence of people and artificial intelligence.
