SORG Group has secured two major furnace modernisation contracts at the HEINZ-GLAS manufacturing site in Działdowo, Poland, reinforcing its long-standing partnership with one of the world’s leading cosmetic and perfume glass packaging producers.
The project involves the reconstruction of two advanced melting units: HEINZ-GLAS’ fully electric VSM® Melter and a Regenerative Endport Furnace. Both installations are central to the plant’s production strategy and will undergo comprehensive technical upgrades aimed at improving efficiency, performance, and long-term reliability.
All three companies operating under the SORG Group umbrella are contributing to the project. EME is responsible for extending and modernising the cullet systems, alongside upgrades to the batch house and cullet return control systems. Nikolaus Sorg is handling the core engineering, equipment supply, and services for the furnace reconstructions, including an expansion of the melting surface for the VSM® Melter.
Meanwhile, SKS, supported by specialists from SORG Polska, will deliver the complete service scope, from furnace draining and demolition to refractory construction, steel works, heat-up, and final filling.
Commenting on the collaboration, Sebastian Woltz, Sales Director at Nikolaus SORG, highlighted the continued trust placed in the group’s expertise. The project underlines SORG Group’s integrated capabilities and its key role in supporting high-performance glass manufacturing across Europe.
