The Society of Glass Technology (SGT) has announced that its Annual Conference 2025 will take place from 1–3 September at Murray Edwards College, University of Cambridge, UK. This prestigious gathering will bring together professionals, researchers, and artists to explore the latest in glass science, technology, history, and design.

This year’s theme, “Glass, East & West,” highlights the global relevance of glass and aims to foster cross-cultural dialogue in its many applications, from industrial innovation to heritage preservation. On 3 September, a dedicated History & Heritage day will be held, with a special focus on the historical significance and craftsmanship of glass.

The event invites abstract submissions from across the globe, particularly encouraging work that aligns with sustainability goals. With a strong tradition of knowledge exchange, the SGT Conference continues to be a vital forum for shaping the future of glass.
