Reiling Nears Completion of State-of-the-Art Glass Recycling Facility in Lünen

Renewal of glass recycling facility in Lünen

Reiling is approaching the final stages of commissioning its new hollow glass recycling plant in Lünen, Germany, following around two years of planning and construction. The project completely replaces the existing facility with a modern plant equipped with advanced processing and drying technology. This will enable higher-quality KSP (color-sorted cullet) and improved color sorting, especially in the fine grain range, meeting the increasing demands of customers and industry standards.

The facility features a new production building over 20 meters high to house the four-story recycling plant. As part of the upgrade, the storage areas have been optimized with new partition walls for separate handling of incoming and outgoing materials. Additionally, paved areas have been renewed to improve operational efficiency and safety across the site.

These enhancements are expected to significantly boost the quality of end products while demonstrating Reiling’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and state-of-the-art recycling technology. The Lünen facility is now set to become a benchmark for modern glass recycling.
