REHAU has expanded its SLINOVA sliding door range with the introduction of a new low-threshold option, designed to improve accessibility while maintaining the system’s established performance and fabrication efficiency.
The new variant builds on the strong market uptake of SLINOVA, which has completed its first year in production with over 8,000 doors manufactured in the UK. According to REHAU, the system’s success is driven by its balance of contemporary design, simplified manufacturing, and installer-friendly assembly.
The low-threshold option has been developed to support seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces, making it suitable for applications where accessibility is a priority, including wheelchair users and individuals with reduced mobility. Optional clip-on ramps and tread plates can be specified to further enhance ease of access while retaining a clean visual appearance.
To address performance requirements at the threshold, the system incorporates an aluminium thermal break, supporting improved thermal efficiency without compromising structural integrity. As with the wider SLINOVA range, the low-threshold version is part of a complete system solution, not a standalone component.
Fabricators benefit from the same streamlined production process that defines SLINOVA:
- Straight cuts only
- No end milling required
- Standard end caps
- Seamless integration into existing assembly workflows
This approach supports efficient production, reduced fabrication time, and consistent quality.
SLINOVA features a slimline profile and offers up to 20 colour combinations, allowing the system to align with a wide range of architectural and interior design requirements.
With demand for accessible, design-led sliding door solutions continuing to grow, REHAU expects the low-threshold SLINOVA option to gain traction across residential and mixed-use projects where practicality, performance, and clean detailing are essential.
