NSG Group has announced a major investment at its Pilkington Polska site in Sandomierz, Poland, with plans to install a new architectural glass coating line. The project, worth PLN 160 million, will use advanced magnetron sputtering technology to apply ultra-thin, multi-layer coatings to glass surfaces with high precision.
Scheduled to begin production in the first quarter of 2027, the fully automated line will significantly expand the company’s capability to manufacture energy-efficient glazing solutions. Products such as low-emissivity (Low-E) glass and solar control glass will be produced locally, helping architects and developers reduce carbon footprints in both residential and commercial projects.
The facility is expected to create more than 30 new jobs, adding to the strong industrial base of the Sandomierz region. Its central European location also offers logistics advantages, enabling NSG Group to better serve customers across Poland, Germany, and neighboring markets.
“This investment reflects our commitment to innovation and sustainability,” said Krzysztof Granicki, Managing Director – East, Nordic & Central Downstream Europe. “It enhances our product offering while aligning with our 2030 Vision, focused on growth and decarbonization.”
The Sandomierz plant remains one of NSG’s most important European hubs, combining advanced technology, skilled labor, and a strong tradition in glass manufacturing.
