NovaSklo Partners with Horn, Bottero & Zippe to Build Float Glass Plant

EFI Group

At the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025 in Rome, NovaSklo signed a cooperation agreement with Horn Glass Industries (Germany), Bottero S.p.A. (Italy), and Zippe Industrieanlagen GmbH (Germany) to develop Ukraine’s first high-tech float glass manufacturing plant.

€240 Million Investment in Ukraine’s Industrial Future

The project, backed by EFI Group and supported by UkraineInvest and the Ministry of Economy, will be built in the Kyiv region by 2028. It involves more than €240 million in investment and aims to make Ukraine self-reliant in float glass production.

Cutting-Edge Technology and Engineering Expertise

Horn will lead in glass melting technology, Bottero will provide automation and flat glass processing solutions, and Zippe will deliver systems for batch and cullet processing. All three companies are already engaged in engineering and technical planning.

Boosting Local Production and Export Potential

With a planned capacity of 24.8 million m² of glass per year, the plant will use high-quality local quartz sand to produce ultra-clear float glass. This will reduce import dependency and strengthen Ukraine’s export capabilities.

A Symbol of Recovery and Innovation

Igor Liski, CEO of NovaSklo, emphasized the strategic importance of this partnership for Ukraine’s modern industrial development. Final commercial agreements will follow, and a deal with one of the world’s top float glass producers is expected soon.
