At the 35th edition of China Glass Exhibition, NorthGlass presented one of its most technically advanced glass solutions, drawing significant attention from industry professionals and visitors alike.
The highlight of the showcase was a specially shaped, multi-curved tempered glass panel, the same type used in the construction of OPPO Global Headquarters in Shenzhen. Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, the headquarters is recognized for its highly complex curtain wall system, which pushes the boundaries of architectural design and engineering.
For this landmark project, NorthGlass supplied approximately 70,000 square metres of oversized, specially shaped multi-curved tempered glass. The production process required exceptional precision, with strict tolerances and advanced fabrication capabilities. The scale and technical demands of the project position it among the most challenging façade applications in the global glass industry.
During the exhibition, attendees had the opportunity to closely examine the visual and performance qualities of the glass. The three-dimensional curved surfaces demonstrated remarkable smoothness, while maintaining straight reflections without visible distortion, an achievement that underscores the material’s optical clarity and processing accuracy.
This level of performance is enabled by NorthGlass’s proprietary technologies, including a self-developed gapless convection system and highly precise temperature control processes. These innovations allow for consistent shaping and tempering of complex geometries, ensuring both aesthetic and structural integrity.
