Burntwood-based fabricator FineLine Windows and Conservatories has restructured its hardware procurement strategy following a recent review, moving away from a multi-supplier model to a fully consolidated partnership with Window Ware. The decision was driven by the need to simplify operations, reduce administrative workload, and improve consistency in supply chain performance.
A key element of the transition is FineLine’s adoption of the Yale SensCheck range, a smart high-security locking solution developed under the Yale portfolio. The integration of SensCheck technology is expected to strengthen FineLine’s value proposition by combining enhanced security features with connected monitoring capabilities, while also supporting the company’s broader focus on reliable, streamlined production processes.
According to FineLine’s managing director, Paul Gosling, the shift to a single supplier has significantly improved operational efficiency. He highlighted the importance of consistency in service and technical support, noting that working with Window Ware has reduced friction across ordering, delivery, and communication processes. He also emphasized the importance of trust in supplier relationships, particularly in a sector where timing and precision are critical.
Window Ware’s long-standing experience in supplying Yale hardware was also a decisive factor, offering FineLine confidence in both product availability and technical expertise. The partnership reflects a wider industry trend toward supply chain consolidation, where manufacturers increasingly prioritize strategic supplier relationships over fragmented procurement models to improve efficiency, reliability, and long-term value.
