NorDan UK, a leading window and door manufacturer and part of the renowned NorDan Group, has recently acquired a majority stake in Esk Glazing, expanding its footprint in north-east Scotland. Operating since 1981, NorDan UK remains headquartered in Livingston with offices in Aberdeen and Inverness, and reported a turnover of £96.9m in 2024 along with six showrooms across the UK. This strategic acquisition will enable faster project turnaround, broader service coverage, and more responsive local support.
Esk Glazing, established in 1974 by Eric Irons and now managed by his son Craig Irons, has built an outstanding reputation for quality supply of windows, doors, conservatories, and bespoke stained-glass designs.
The company has recently refurbished its headquarters and expanded its trade centre, now employing more than 35 dedicated staff who offer fully certified insulated fire doors and various bespoke glazing solutions. The acquisition strengthens NorDan’s portfolio by integrating Esk Glazing’s strong regional presence and family-owned heritage.
Craig Greenwood, managing director of NorDan UK, welcomed the new partnership, while Craig Irons highlighted that the move allows Esk Glazing to broaden its product range and technical resources while maintaining its people-focused service. Both companies are set to drive future innovation and local excellence together.
