ML System will supply its advanced PhotonWall glass photovoltaic modules for the new headquarters of ING Deutschland, part of the Hafenpark Quartier Office (HPQO) development in Frankfurt’s dynamic Ostend district, adjacent to the European Central Bank. The 16-storey building, spanning 32,000 m² of office space, is designed as a fossil-free, energy-efficient landmark, targeting the LEED Platinum certification.
The project features approximately 2,400 m² of integrated Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV), enabling the façade to actively generate renewable energy. ML System’s PhotonWall modules will not only enhance the building’s energy performance but also seamlessly merge aesthetics with functionality, a hallmark of modern sustainable architecture.

According to Karol Kotowicz, Sales & Project Manager at ML System, the company takes pride in contributing to such a prestigious development. “Our products will help create a sustainable energy solution and a better working environment for over 3,000 employees,” he said.
This achievement results from close collaboration among key partners: Rupert App GmbH & Co, the façade contractor; MEIXNER SCHLÜTER WENDT, the project’s architects; B&L Gruppe, the developer; and ING Deutschland, the visionary client. Together, they are shaping a new generation of buildings that produce energy, inspire innovation, and redefine urban sustainability.
