INSIO® Debuts in Europe with Saint-Gobain and LuxWall

Saint-Gobain Glass and LuxWall partner to launch INSIO® in European market

Saint-Gobain Glass, operating 30 float lines across 13 countries, has partnered with U.S.-based LuxWall to launch INSIO® in the European market. This next-generation vacuum glazing integrates LuxWall’s patented Enthermal™ transparent insulation, engineered to block convective, conductive, and radiative heat transfer, with Saint-Gobain’s large-scale manufacturing expertise.

Glass façades and windows remain one of the greatest inefficiencies in buildings, responsible for around 40% of heating and cooling demand according to the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction. INSIO® is designed to reverse this trend: by combining vacuum glazing with advanced transparent insulation, the system can achieve substantial reductions in energy loss, lowering both operating costs and capital expenditure for developers and building owners.

INSIO® allows us to address decarbonization while expanding design and comfort possibilities for architects and tenants

said Nicolas Mondy, Vice President of Saint-Gobain’s Glass Performance Segment. LuxWall CEO Scott Thomsen added that the partnership enables rapid scaling from the company’s Michigan plants, including its new Detroit facility, to deliver affordable access to advanced energy technology worldwide.

The European rollout of INSIO® marks a turning point for sustainable architecture, offering a powerful retrofit and new-build solution that transforms glass from an energy liability into a high-performance asset.
