Rich Walker’s journey in the industry began in 1996 when he joined AAMA as Technical Director. His dedication and expertise propelled him to the role of Southeast Region Director before he assumed the pivotal position of President and CEO in 2000. Under his visionary guidance, AAMA experienced unprecedented growth and success. He expanded the association’s technical offerings, laying the foundation for its excellence. Moreover, Walker spearheaded initiatives that broadened the association’s horizons, encompassing extensive educational programs like the renowned FenestrationMasters® Program. His strategic vision also led to comprehensive legislative and regulatory monitoring and the validation of fenestration product performance, notably in Florida.

Rich Walker is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Walker. Together, they were not just partners in life but also in passion, sharing a deep love for the industry. This bond was exemplified through the Rich and Diane Walker Cup, a prestigious golf event held at FGIA conferences, symbolizing their enduring legacy.
