Glass melting technology specialist HORN has been awarded a contract by Shandong Linuo Pharmaceutical Packaging Co., Ltd. to supply a new all-electric melting furnace for its upcoming production site in China.
The furnace #4 will feature a 32 m² melting area and a maximum daily output of 70 tons, serving three production lines dedicated to neutral flint glass. HORN’s comprehensive scope includes furnace design, refractory and steel engineering, and advanced E-Fusion Power Boosting Systems, which will help significantly reduce CO₂ emissions during the melting process.
Installation and commissioning will be supervised by HORN’s experts to ensure seamless plant operation. The new furnace marks another step in HORN’s commitment to sustainable glass production and technological innovation. Linuo Glass’s new pharmaceutical container facility is scheduled to begin operations in 2026, reinforcing China’s transition toward greener glass manufacturing.
