Portuguese architecture studio OODA has unveiled Hora Vertikale, an ambitious vertical settlement set to redefine Tirana’s skyline. Covering 55,000 square meters and reaching 140 meters in height, the first phase is scheduled to commence next spring. Designed as a “vertical village,” Hora Vertikale features thirteen stacked cubes inspired by local vernacular and art, creating a dynamic and visually striking composition.
The project is set to have a major impact on Albania’s construction, aluminium, and glass industries. Its clustered, high-performance facade relies on aluminium profiles and energy-efficient glazing solutions, creating opportunities for local manufacturers and fabricators to supply advanced materials. The use of locally sourced materials aligns with sustainability goals while supporting the domestic economy, driving innovation and quality standards across the sector.

Hora Vertikale demonstrates the potential of modern, sustainable high-rise construction in Albania. By combining cutting-edge aluminium and glass technologies with iconic design, it showcases the capabilities of local industries and encourages the adoption of innovative building solutions. Beyond its architectural significance, the project positions Tirana as a hub for material innovation, creating long-term growth opportunities in construction, aluminium, and glass sectors.
