At the core of this innovative home is Guardian’s advanced Solar Management Glass (SMG™), designed to reduce solar heat gain while maintaining high levels of natural daylight. With over 70% visible light transmission, SMG™ helps keep interiors bright and welcoming, while its solar control capabilities minimize indoor overheating. This balance supports energy efficiency by reducing the need for artificial lighting and lowering cooling loads.
Enabling Passive Cooling with Cooliving Design
Guardian Glass also contributes to Sansiri’s “Cooliving Design” concept, one of the four innovation pillars of the prototype. This design philosophy focuses on reducing reliance on air conditioning through strategic use of shading, natural airflow, and energy-efficient building materials like SMG™. The glass supports this vision by enabling thermal comfort without sacrificing daylight access or visual transparency.
