Glaston Receives First Order for New MATRIX EVO from Saint-Gobain Sekurit, One of the World’s Leading Car Glazing Manufacturers
Glaston, a global technology leader in glass processing, has announced receiving an order for its new MATRIX EVO line from Saint-Gobain Sekurit, a renowned car glazing manufacturer. The order was booked in Glaston’s Q4/2022 order book and is expected to be delivered in Q1/2024.
As the requirements for windshields and sunroofs continue to evolve in today’s automotive industry, producing high-quality end products for the aftermarket becomes a challenging task. The customer needed technology that could produce more complex-shaped, high-quality end products in shorter series. Glaston’s fully automated MATRIX EVO bending furnace, equipped with active convection heating technology, is specifically designed to meet these demands with its high optical quality, energy efficiency, and fast-paced production.
“We are thrilled to have Saint-Gobain Sekurit as our first customer for this new product. Our technology will enable them to reach the combination of the highest required quality, production pace, and energy-efficiency needs,” says Robert Prange, SVP Automotive & Display Technologies at Glaston Corporation.
Glaston’s new technology is a major improvement compared to existing products on the market, providing advanced features like the production of windshields with integrated advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), head-up displays (HUD), and the use of coated glasses when combined with the most complex shapes. Glaston’s level of process expertise, combined with the new technology, will ensure that the customer’s needs are met and trust is established between the two companies.
