As the global glass industry accelerates toward a more sustainable and technology-driven future, the next edition of is already gaining momentum. Scheduled to take place from 20 to 23 October 2026 in Düsseldorf, the world-leading trade fair has officially opened its Ticketshop while revealing the first highlights of its accompanying programme.
This year’s edition will focus strongly on the industry’s most pressing transformation themes: decarbonisation, circular economy, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies. Through conferences, live demonstrations, and interactive formats, glasstec 2026 aims to provide practical insights into how the sector can respond to evolving market demands and environmental challenges.

At the heart of the event will be the glasstec conference, bringing together experts from industry, science, architecture, and research. Returning formats include the popular Glass Trends Sessions, CircuClarity Two, Glass Melting Pot, and Start-Up Sessions, all designed to encourage innovation and knowledge exchange across the supply chain.
A major new addition for 2026 is “Women in Glass,” a dedicated platform created to highlight female expertise within the glass industry and strengthen professional networking opportunities. The event will also introduce the special show “secure – innovative – sustainable,” organised in cooperation with ift Rosenheim, focusing on resilient and security-critical glass solutions for critical infrastructure.

Another key attraction will once again be “glass technology live,” recognised globally for showcasing forward-looking glass applications close to market readiness. Live craft demonstrations from the Federal Association of Glazier Trades (BIV) and the artistic exhibition “glass art” will further enrich the visitor experience.
