The Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) has opened registration for its 2026 Western Region Virtual Summit, scheduled for 30 September 2026, bringing together industry professionals to examine the latest regulatory, technical and market developments affecting the U.S. Western Region. The online event will focus on evolving building codes, climate resilience requirements and state-level legislation that directly impacts manufacturers, fabricators, suppliers and glazing professionals.

The programme features presentations from recognised experts across academia, engineering and code development. Fadel Lawandy, CAIA, Associate Professor of Finance at Chapman University, will provide an economic outlook for the U.S. market, while Art DeGaetano of Cornell University and Jay Crandell of ABTG/ARES Consulting will introduce newly developed wind-driven rain maps for the United States, an important advancement for façade and fenestration performance assessment. Additional sessions include Colorado’s Model Low Energy and Carbon Code (MLECC), implementation of state wildfire regulations, and proposed revisions to California’s Wildland-Urban Interface Code (CWUIC), including discussions on potential requirements for non-combustible or ignition-resistant fenestration systems. The summit will conclude with an update on Western state regulations, including developments surrounding Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) legislation in California and Oregon.

Early-bird registration is available until 18 September, with FGIA members paying $125, increasing to $225 after the deadline. Non-member registration is priced at $360. The virtual summit is designed to help companies remain compliant with rapidly evolving regulations while preparing for future code and performance requirements across the Western U.S. construction market.
