The Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) has officially announced its 2027 conference schedule, confirming that the Summer Summit will return to a fully in-person format. The event is scheduled to take place May 10–12, 2027, at the Hilton Tampa Downtown in Tampa, Florida, followed immediately by the FGIA Southeast Region Summit on May 13 at the same venue.

The decision to return the Summer Summit to an exclusively in-person format was made following feedback from FGIA members and an internal assessment of the value delivered by face-to-face events. According to Florica Vlad, FGIA Events Manager, the organization identified in-person gatherings as a strategic priority because they foster stronger collaboration, deeper networking opportunities, and greater engagement across the fenestration and glazing community.

In addition to the format change, the Summer Summit will feature a condensed schedule, running from Monday midday to Wednesday midday. The shift to May and the shortened duration aim to reduce travel burdens for participants during the busy summer construction season while still allowing attendees to benefit from the event’s full program.

Unlike FGIA’s Annual and Fall Conferences, which focus heavily on committee and task group meetings, the Summer Summit will prioritize learning, discussion, and interactive engagement. Planned programming includes two parallel tracks covering key technical and industry developments such as evolving building codes, regulatory frameworks, and legislative requirements affecting the fenestration sector.

The agenda is also expected to feature panel discussions, interactive forums, hands-on workshops, and the popular Product Showcase, while FGIA is exploring dedicated content streams for industry executives and emerging professionals.

Alongside the Summer Summit, FGIA confirmed its full 2027 events calendar:

• Annual Conference: February 8–12 – Westin Cape Coral, Cape Coral, Florida
• Summer Summit: May 10–12 – Hilton Tampa Downtown, Tampa, Florida
• Southeast Region Meeting: May 13 – Hilton Tampa Downtown, Tampa, Florida
• Fall Conference: September 20–23 – Hyatt Regency Bellevue, Seattle, Washington
