Fender Focuses on Creative Spatial Acoustics in Hamburg

A tenant fit-out for Fender Musical Instruments GmbH was completed in central Hamburg, developed to support creative work routines while meeting strict acoustic, comfort, and technical requirements. The project was planned and executed in coordination with the architectural office majadesign, with the interior scope delivered during ongoing operations and managed through coordinated trade sequencing.

Acoustic control and transparency were key performance targets. The office layout uses the Lindner Life Pure 620 glass partition system to separate work zones while maintaining visual openness and continuous daylight distribution. The partition solution was selected to provide strong sound insulation without creating closed-off areas, supporting both concentration and communication across departments.

To further improve room acoustics, decorative timber slats were introduced as a combined design and acoustic element. This treatment helps manage reverberation in open-plan areas while adding warm surface contrast to the glass-heavy interior concept. Drywall partitions were finished with a hand-applied concrete-effect plaster, creating a durable, textured wall finish that gives the interior a more architectural character and depth.

Indoor climate performance is provided by the Lindner Plafotherm® DS 320 chilled ceiling system, specified for even temperature distribution and a clean ceiling appearance. Lighting is integrated through PL 3 modular light channels, supported by Loop pendant luminaires from Lindner Leuchtenfabrik, delivering balanced illumination across workstations, circulation zones, and shared areas.

Beyond workspaces, the fit-out includes high-quality tea kitchens designed as informal communication hubs. A robust IT infrastructure was incorporated via modern electrical installations to support high operational demand. The project was completed on schedule, with installation precision and coordination ensuring consistent performance across partitions, ceiling systems, lighting, and technical services.
