Everglade Windows has announced a series of technical upgrades to its aïr 400SS Plus Aluminium Minimal Frame Sliding Door, introducing enhanced thermal efficiency, simplified installation, and greater design flexibility. The updated system will be available from 4 August 2026.

Developed to address evolving Building Regulations while maintaining the minimalist aesthetics of the original design, the latest version retains the slim sightlines and large glazed areas that have made the aïr 400SS Plus a popular choice for both residential and commercial projects.

A key improvement is the introduction of an upgraded polyamide thermal break, which significantly enhances the door’s thermal performance. The system now achieves U-values of 1.4 W/m²K when fitted with a 1.0 W/m²K double-glazed unit, and 1.2 W/m²K with a 0.7 W/m²K triple-glazed unit, supporting improved energy efficiency and compliance with modern building standards.

Everglade Windows has also introduced an optional integrated up-stand, enabling the finished floor level to align with the top of the outer frame. This creates a more seamless threshold between indoor and outdoor spaces while simplifying installation details.

Installation has been further improved with the addition of quick-glaze pre-gasketed beads for 28 mm glazed units, allowing installers to reduce fitting time while maintaining the premium appearance associated with the aïr product range.
