Diamon-Fusion International (DFI), a global leader in protective glass coatings and restoration solutions, has partnered with Independent Glass (IG) through DFI’s U.K. distributor, Advanced Processing Machinery Ltd., to expand in England and Scotland. The partnership introduces DFI’s proprietary coating technology to IG’s safety glass, enhancing durability, scratch resistance, and protection against environmental wear.

Glasgow-based IG operates four U.K. facilities totaling 200,000 square feet and five horizontal tempering furnaces. The company produces tempered and laminated safety glass for architectural, rail, road transport, and marine applications, with thicknesses from 3 to 19 millimeters and panel sizes up to 6,000 by 2,800 millimeters. 
DFI’s coatings will be applied across IG’s production lines, improving scratch resistance, reducing staining, and extending glass longevity. The collaboration positions both companies to meet growing demand for high-performance glass in the U.K. and European markets.
