British Glass has officially appointed Dean Butler as its new President, following a member vote in May 2025. He succeeds Thomas Riss, CEO of Stoelzle Flaconnage, who served a dedicated two-year term. Butler’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for the glass industry as it faces both challenges and opportunities in the push toward a more sustainable future.

With more than 20 years of experience in the glass sector, Dean Butler brings deep knowledge and proven leadership to the role. His background spans across key areas of glass manufacturing, innovation, and strategic planning, making him well-equipped to guide British Glass through this critical period.

In his new position, Butler has expressed a strong commitment to driving innovation and championing sustainability across the sector. Butler said:
