C.R. Laurence (CRL) has expanded its Cielo Post Windscreen System to accommodate 9/16-inch laminated bird glass, including Bird Guard Glass from OBE, enhancing safety for wildlife without compromising modern design.
Cielo enables post-to-post spans up to five feet with no horizontal extrusions, providing unobstructed views and meeting the needs of high-altitude applications such as rooftop pools, dining areas, and terraces. The system withstands 80 PSF wind loads, making it suitable for both commercial and residential projects.
Key features include a slim 3-1/4-inch front trim, 4-1/2-inch post depth, and 6-, 7-, and 8-foot standard post heights in end, center, and corner configurations. Constructed from 6005-T6 aluminum, Cielo offers surface or core mounting on steel or concrete and meets IBC 2018 and ASCE-7/16 wind load standards.
Finishes include matte black, silver metallic, sky white, and custom powder coat options. Bird Guard Glass, tested by the American Bird Conservancy (ABC), ensures bird visibility while preserving transparency.
