The Bundesverband Glasindustrie e.V. (BV Glas) has strengthened its leadership team with new appointments aimed at enhancing the association’s strategic direction and technical expertise as the glass industry navigates increasing political and economic pressures.

As part of the organizational changes, Ulrike Aldenhoff has been named an authorized representative, expanding her responsibilities beyond environmental affairs to include resilience, security, and defense-related matters. Her new role is intended to reinforce BV Glas’s expertise in areas that are becoming increasingly significant for the industry.

At the same time, Dorothée Richardt has been appointed Managing Director for Container Glass. She will be responsible for representing the interests of the container glass sector in political and regulatory discussions, strengthening the position of glass packaging within the market, while continuing to lead communications activities for both BV Glas and the Glass Packaging Action Forum.

Commenting on the appointments, Christiane Nelles, Managing Director of BV Glas, said she is pleased to further strengthen the association’s leadership with experienced colleagues who have been trusted partners for many years. She emphasized that, as the challenges facing the glass industry continue to grow in complexity, expanding the leadership structure and combining a broader range of expertise will enable the association to respond more effectively to the sector’s evolving needs.
