British Glass Confirms Leadership Team and Board Following Organisational Separation

British Glass has confirmed its executive leadership team and board appointments following the successful separation of British Glass and Glass Technology Services (GTS), establishing a new organisational structure focused on strengthening support for the UK glass industry.

As part of the restructuring, British Glass will operate independently as the UK’s trade federation, concentrating on advocacy, public policy, government engagement and member representation. Meanwhile, GTS will continue delivering specialist technical services, including testing, certification, consultancy and research for the glass supply chain. Although the organisations now operate independently, GTS remains wholly owned by British Glass.

Leading the organisation is Dr Nick Kirk, who has been confirmed as Executive Director. The senior leadership team also includes Victoria Adams as Public Affairs and Communications Director, Paul Pearcy as Energy and Industry Director, and Jenni Richards as Environment and Circularity Director. Their roles will focus on key industry priorities including energy policy, decarbonisation, circular economy initiatives, sustainability legislation and engagement with UK policymakers.

At the British Glass Annual General Meeting on 14 July 2026, members confirmed the federation’s board, comprising Allen Norris as Chair, Matthew Demmon (MKD32), Vincent Godfrey (Ardagh), Dr Nick Kirk (British Glass), Sean Murphy (Encirc) and Stephen Severs (Saint-Gobain).

Members also confirmed Dean Butler as President until 31 December 2027, ensuring leadership continuity during the transition. The new governance structure positions British Glass to strengthen its representation of UK glass manufacturers while advancing industry priorities in sustainability, trade, energy and long-term sector growth.
