Schmidhofer Dächer und Fassaden, based in Upper Austria, is a family-run company led by three brothers and staffed by around 50 employees. Renowned for their precision and reliability, they specialize in large-scale aluminium façade and roofing panels, executing projects ranging from 800 to 3,000 m². In renovation projects especially, they often face changing site conditions and incomplete specifications, demanding high flexibility in fabrication.
A Tailored CNC Solution for Dynamic Challenges
To address these hurdles, Schmidhofer partnered with Muratori Machines to introduce the Ranger Vertical Table Machining Center, a CNC router fully customized to their production environment. This advanced machine allows for high-precision cutting, drilling, and milling of large panels, all while maximizing limited workshop space. The seamless integration with Schmidhofer’s existing CAD software enabled simplified programming, boosting agility and reducing operator learning curves.
Operational Efficiency, Elevated
The impact was immediate. Schmidhofer now processes between 20,000 and 30,000 m² of panels annually, handling complex modifications internally without delays or outsourcing. The system has not only reduced turnaround times and external reliance, but also allowed the team to take on more projects than originally anticipated, all while upholding their hallmark of quality.
