AluK has announced that three of its key aluminium building systems, SL50, C67K, and C77K, have been awarded Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze – Full Scope for its European business units, marking a significant milestone in the company’s sustainability journey.
The certification, recognised globally as one of the most rigorous science-based standards for sustainable product design, evaluates products across their entire lifecycle and supply chain. A “Full Scope” certification means that not only the final product, but also its constituent materials, surface treatments, and components have been assessed for environmental and social performance.
Cradle to Cradle Certified® assesses five core categories: Material Health, Material Reutilisation, Renewable Energy & Carbon Management, Water Stewardship, and Social Fairness. Achieving Bronze level confirms that AluK’s systems meet verified requirements in each of these areas, supported by third-party validation and transparent documentation.
For AluK, this achievement highlights the increasing recyclability of aluminium as a material, reinforcing its role in circular construction models due to its ability to be reused indefinitely without loss of performance. It also reflects stronger commitments to responsible sourcing, reduced environmental impact, and improved supply chain transparency, key priorities aligned with evolving EU sustainability and ESG expectations.
The certification forms part of AluK’s wider long-term sustainability roadmap, which focuses on advancing circular economy principles, lowering carbon emissions, and driving innovation in sustainable building solutions. The company noted that this milestone provides a solid foundation for further progress in material efficiency and environmental performance across its product portfolio.
AluK also acknowledged the contribution of internal teams and external partners whose technical expertise and collaboration were essential in achieving the certification.
With SL50, C67K, and C77K now certified, AluK strengthens its position as a provider of high-performance aluminium systems designed with sustainability at their core.
