AGC Glass Europe has launched “My CO2 Report,” a new reporting tool designed to provide customers with transparent and consolidated data on the embodied carbon footprint and recycled content of their glass products. The initiative aims to help stakeholders across the construction and glazing sectors meet growing sustainability, certification, and regulatory requirements.
The report provides customers with verified information on Global Warming Potential (GWP), expressed as CO₂ equivalent emissions, as well as the recycled content incorporated into AGC glazing products. This data can be supplied directly on invoices or through detailed reports tailored to individual projects or customers.
As sustainability reporting becomes increasingly important across Europe, “My CO2 Report” offers practical support for companies seeking to document Scope 3 emissions, comply with regulations such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the EU Taxonomy, and national frameworks including RE2020. The information can also contribute to achieving recognized green building certifications such as BREEAM and LEED, while supporting financing applications for sustainable construction projects.
According to AGC, the carbon data is generated from third-party verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) through the company’s EPD Generator, ensuring that values remain accurate and up to date. Recycled content figures are calculated in accordance with ISO 14021:2016, measuring both pre-consumer and post-consumer recycled materials used in glazing production.
