Certerra, a leading provider of technology-enabled testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) services for critical infrastructure, has announced the acquisition of Paramount Consulting & Engineering, a South Florida-based specialist in building envelope consulting, inspection, and testing services.

The acquisition significantly strengthens Certerra’s position in one of the most active and technically demanding construction markets in the United States. South Florida’s building sector is known for its stringent performance standards related to hurricane resistance, moisture management, durability, and energy efficiency, making building envelope expertise increasingly critical for developers and property owners.

Founded more than 15 years ago, Paramount Consulting & Engineering has established itself as a trusted provider of comprehensive building envelope services across the Greater Miami region. The company offers a broad range of solutions, including glass and glazing inspections, waterproofing assessments, forensic investigations, façade evaluations, and special inspections. Paramount currently manages more than 1,500 active projects and serves developers, architects, general contractors, condominium associations, and property managers throughout South Florida.

According to Certerra CEO Ed Lyon, the acquisition enhances the company’s capabilities within both its Southeast and Building Envelope Divisions. By integrating Paramount’s specialized expertise, Certerra aims to provide a more complete suite of services spanning the entire lifecycle of a structure, from site development and materials testing to façade performance and long-term asset management.
