Glass Futures has announced Adrian Curry as the new Chair of its Board of Directors, succeeding Mike Houghton of Siemens. A long-time advocate for sustainability in glass manufacturing, Curry brings over 27 years of experience from Encirc, including 19 years as Managing Director.

Curry has been instrumental in pioneering industry-changing projects, most notably the 2021 biofuel trial at Encirc’s Derrylin site. Conducted with Glass Futures, the trial used 100% recycled glass and ultra-low-carbon biofuels to reduce the carbon footprint of each bottle by up to 90%. The project set a new standard for sustainable glass production.

Previously serving as Deputy Chair of the Board, Curry also held roles such as President of British Glass and currently sits on the Board of Gallo Glass. His leadership is widely respected across the global glass industry.

“Adrian has been a champion of sustainable innovation in glass for many years,” said Justin Kelly, CEO of Glass Futures. “His leadership will be critical as we enter our next phase of growth and international collaboration.”

As Chair, Curry will guide Glass Futures in accelerating its mission: to drive innovation, decarbonize production, and shape the future of glass.
