Forel to Present Insulating Glass and Flat Glass Processing Technologies at Eurasia Glass 2026

Forel will exhibit at Eurasia Glass 2026, taking place from 21 to 24 November at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul, Türkiye. The Italian machinery manufacturer will be located in Hall 11, Stand 1101B, where its team will present solutions for insulating glass production and flat glass processing.

The exhibition provides Forel with an opportunity to engage with glass processors, manufacturers and industrial partners operating across markets connecting Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia. Istanbul’s position as a commercial and industrial hub makes the event particularly relevant for machinery suppliers seeking to develop relationships with processors across these regions.

Machinery portfolio covering the insulating glass production process

Forel’s portfolio extends beyond individual processing machines, covering several stages of flat glass manufacturing and insulating glass unit (IGU) production. According to the company’s product classification, its machinery range is organised into five main categories:

  • Insulating glass production lines: Systems for manufacturing double and triple glazing, including configurations for rigid spacers, flexible spacers and thermoplastic spacers.
  • Vertical edge processing: Machinery for grinding and finishing glass edges in vertical production lines.
  • Glass sorting systems: Automated sorting solutions designed to organise glass panes and support production flow.
  • Laminated glass processing: Equipment for cutting laminated glass and handling PVB-based lamination processes.
  • Glass storage solutions: Systems such as the Stock Selector, designed to improve glass storage, retrieval and material handling.

For insulating glass production, Forel groups its lines into four equipment ranges: Essential, High Speed, High Tech and No Limits. These provide different levels of production capacity and automation, allowing processors to configure installations according to their manufacturing requirements. Forel+1

The company’s coupling and pressing equipment illustrates this range of applications. The AP ES model is designed for coupling and pressing double and triple insulating glass units, while the AP HS focuses on shorter production cycles and higher throughput. The AP HT provides greater operational versatility, and the AP No Limits is engineered for Jumbo and Extra Jumbo insulating glass units, with non-planarity correction capabilities and increased load capacity. International expansion and regional market development

Forel’s presence in Istanbul also reflects its wider international development strategy. The company has identified the Middle East and Asian markets as areas for further expansion, with plans to establish a subsidiary in Dubai dedicated to sales and technical customer support, followed by a move into China.

Founded in 1976 by Fortunato Vianello, Forel specialises in machinery for flat glass processing and double glazing. Its industrial operations include two production facilities between Treviso and Venice, covering approximately 30,000 m² of production space and employing around 250 people. The company also provides machinery installation, operator training, technical assistance and spare parts support through its international service network. Forel+1

For glass processors in Türkiye and neighbouring markets, closer regional support could be particularly relevant when investing in automated production lines, upgrading existing facilities or increasing capacity for larger insulating glass units.
