Pilkington Superwhite™ has been named the winner of the 2026 Glass Magazine Award in the category Best Glass or Glass Component, recognizing its performance in clarity, color neutrality and design applications. The award, announced on September 7, 2026, is part of the annual program celebrating notable achievements across the architectural glass and glazing industry.
Unlike standard clear glass, which can exhibit a characteristic green tint, Pilkington Superwhite™ is engineered to provide high transparency, accurate color rendering and neutral, colorless edges, including in thicker glass configurations. This combination allows interior designs, decorative elements and materials behind or beneath the glass to remain visually accurate.
Manufactured in Italy, the glass uses carefully selected raw materials and advanced production techniques to achieve its high level of visual purity. Its properties make it particularly suitable for premium tabletops, shelving, display cases, kitchen surfaces and custom furniture, where edge appearance and color accuracy are important design considerations.
Pilkington Superwhite™ can also be combined with satin, enameled and digitally printed glass elements, supporting applications that require precise decorative colors and fine details.
