Fenzi Group Improves Insulating Glass Efficiency with Butylver TPS Warm Edge Technology

Fenzi Group’s Butylver TPS is a single-component, solvent-free thermoplastic spacer developed for the production of non-structural insulating glass units (IGUs). Compatible with all TPS applicators, it combines the spacer, primary sealant and desiccant into one integrated material, reducing the number of components required during manufacturing.

Based on a polyisobutylene (PIB) formulation with integrated desiccants, Butylver TPS provides rapid adhesion to both glass and secondary sealants while ensuring low moisture permeability and stable performance for cavity widths of up to 20 mm. The system also enables the production of complex IGU geometries, including round and non-standard shapes, offering greater design flexibility for fabricators.

Its integrated design simplifies production by eliminating compatibility issues between separate spacer, sealant and desiccant materials, while reducing inventory requirements and streamlining quality control. By consolidating multiple functions into a single product, Butylver TPS supports faster automated production, lower material handling and more efficient manufacturing processes, while maintaining reliable warm edge performance and long-term durability in insulating glass applications.
