LandVac has reinforced its position in the vacuum insulated glass (VIG) sector after securing dual Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certifications under both Chinese and European schemes for ten of its core VIG product categories. The achievement represents one of the industry’s broadest environmental certification portfolios and highlights the company’s commitment to internationally recognised sustainability standards.

The EPD certifications were issued in accordance with ISO 14025 and EN 15804, two internationally recognised standards for assessing and reporting the environmental performance of construction products. The certification process involved an independent, third-party verified life-cycle assessment, evaluating environmental impacts from raw material sourcing and manufacturing through transportation, product use and end-of-life recycling.

The certified portfolio covers ten specialised VIG applications, including architectural curtain wall systems, integrated windows and doors, medical cold-chain solutions and home appliance glass. By providing transparent, verified environmental data across every stage of the product life cycle, the certifications support architects, developers and manufacturers seeking materials for ultra-low-energy buildings, green healthcare facilities, zero-carbon industrial parks and other sustainable construction projects.

Environmental Product Declarations have become increasingly important in global construction markets, serving as independently verified documents that quantify indicators such as carbon footprint, water consumption and pollutant emissions.
