EPPA Annual Conference & General Assembly 2026: Shaping the Future of the European PVC Window Profile Sector

The European PVC Window Profile and Related Building Products Association (EPPA) held its Annual Conference and General Assembly 2026 on 24–25 June in Brussels, bringing together members, EU policymakers, and industry stakeholders to address regulatory, environmental, and industrial priorities shaping the PVC window profile sector.

The Annual Conference on 24 June was structured around Europe’s housing and renovation policy framework, with particular emphasis on the implementation of the EU Green Deal objectives in the construction sector. Discussions focused on circularity in building materials, improving PVC recycling infrastructure, scaling up post-consumer material recovery, and strengthening the competitiveness of European manufacturing. Representatives from the European Parliament and the European Commission, including DG GROW and DG ENER, outlined current and upcoming policy directions affecting construction products, energy efficiency requirements, and industrial sustainability standards.

Industry insights were provided by Carsten Heuer, CEO of REHAU Window Solutions, who highlighted operational challenges in balancing innovation, regulatory compliance, and circular product design. The conference also included the EPPA Board Meeting and a structured networking programme, enabling direct exchange between policymakers and technical experts.

On 25 June, the General Assembly reviewed the Association’s annual progress, approved strategic priorities for the coming year, and addressed governance updates. A leadership transition was confirmed, with acknowledgement of outgoing President Christian Fischer and the appointment of Andreas Hartleif as the new President.

EPPA further recognized the contribution of Working Committee Chairs Carsten Schäfer, Jörg Ipfling, and Jürgen Herbe, reinforcing the importance of technical expertise and member collaboration in advancing sector priorities aligned with Europe’s sustainability, housing, and industrial competitiveness agenda.
