Thermoseal Boosts Efficiency with New Banding and Collating Machine

Thermoseal Group has unveiled a bespoke banding and collating machine at its Wigan manufacturing facility, marking a significant step in the company’s ongoing drive for automation and efficiency. The new system, designed in-house by Thermoseal’s engineering team, streamlines the handling of Thermobar spacer bars, ensuring they are aligned, collated, and bundled in the precise orientation required for automated bending machines widely used across continental Europe.

“The new banding and collating line is another step forward in our continuous drive for automation and efficiency,” said Mark Hickox, Sales Director at Thermoseal Group. “It not only simplifies our production process but also guarantees that every bundle is ready for seamless use in export markets, where automated bending systems are standard.”

Thermobar spacer bars, manufactured at Thermoseal’s Wigan site using advanced precision extrusion technology, are valued globally for their quality, consistency, and performance. The launch of the new machine supports Thermoseal’s growing international demand, ensuring that each batch leaving the factory is fully prepared for efficient processing.

This investment reinforces Thermoseal’s commitment to innovation and operational excellence. By integrating automation directly into its production line, the company is able to meet increasing export requirements while maintaining the high standards that have made Thermobar a trusted component in insulated glass units worldwide.
