Grenzebach Appoints New Leader for Glass Business Unit Amid Strategic Realignment

Effective August 1, 2025, Grenzebach Group has announced a significant leadership change and organizational realignment aimed at strengthening its glass operations. Egbert Wenninger, a seasoned industry expert with over two decades of experience at Grenzebach, has been appointed as the new Head of the Glass Business Unit. He will also oversee the company’s operations at its Hamlar site in Germany, consolidating leadership under a unified structure.

Wenninger is a respected figure in the international glass industry, known for his deep technical expertise and strategic vision. His appointment marks a new phase of development for both the Hamlar location and the company’s global glass activities. With a strong belief in the growth potential of the business, Wenninger plans to advance Grenzebach’s position through innovation and global collaboration.

As part of the transition, Florian Nagler, also a Grenzebach veteran with around 20 years of experience, will step into the role of Deputy Head of the Glass Business Unit. Nagler’s proven industry knowledge and leadership will play a key role in supporting the unit’s future direction.

The company also announced that Markus Gruber, the former Head of the Glass Business Unit, has departed the company at his own request, effective August 1. Grenzebach expressed gratitude for Gruber’s contributions and leadership over the years.

This leadership realignment is seen as a strategic move to reinforce Grenzebach’s global footprint and innovation capacity in the glass sector, aligning talent and resources for future success.
