VITRUM S.r.l., the company responsible for organizing the international VITRUM exhibition and backed by the Italian association GIMAV, has announced a new Board of Directors for the 2026–2030 term, marking the beginning of a significant transformation and growth phase for the organization.
Leading the new governance structure is Barbara Antonini, appointed President of VITRUM. Antonini is the owner of Antonini S.r.l., a globally recognized supplier of technologies for the hollow glass industry, and currently serves as Coordinator of the Empolese-Valdelsa Territorial Unit of Confindustria Toscana Centro e Costa. Her appointment reflects a strategic commitment to strengthening representation across the entire glass value chain while expanding the exhibition’s international reach.
The newly appointed Board includes Lucia Masutti as Chief Executive Officer, Dino Zandonella Necca overseeing external growth and development projects, Nicola Lattuada responsible for VITRUM and internationalization activities, and Riccardo Vianello leading technological innovation initiatives.
The appointments also reinforce the balance between the two major segments of the glass industry. While Nancy Mammaro recently became President of GIMAV, representing the flat glass sector, Antonini’s leadership at VITRUM strengthens the role of the hollow glass industry within the organization. Together, these appointments create a governance structure that reflects the full breadth of Italy’s glass ecosystem.
One of the Board’s primary objectives will be the relaunch and evolution of VITRUM as a global platform for the glass economy. Future strategies will focus on innovation, sustainability, internationalization, and stronger collaboration between manufacturers, technology providers, and downstream industries that utilize glass.
