VASGLASS Finalises €6 million Investment to Support High-Spec Glazing Applications

VASGLASS

VASGLASS has completed a €6 million investment programme aimed at strengthening its production base and long-term technological capacity, responding to the increasingly complex demands of contemporary façade and glazing projects across Southeast Europe. The investment marks a significant step in the company’s operational evolution, focusing not only on output, but on process integration, precision, and repeatability.

At the core of this upgrade is the installation of new HEGLA and SYSTRON processing lines, enhancing automation, cutting accuracy, and handling efficiency. Complementing these systems, VASGLASS has further developed its specialised Bonding Department, creating a more cohesive production environment capable of supporting technically demanding glazing scopes. Together, these investments improve workflow continuity, quality control, and the ability to deliver consistent results across large project volumes.

Such capabilities are increasingly essential as architectural projects grow in scale, height, and performance expectations. High-rise residential buildings, in particular, impose strict requirements on glazing suppliers, from tight dimensional tolerances and visual consistency to long-term durability under environmental stress. Coastal conditions further intensify these demands, introducing exposure to wind loads and marine atmospheres that require carefully controlled processing and bonding solutions.

These conditions are evident in Riviera Tower, the landmark residential high-rise currently under construction at The Ellinikon in southern Athens. Developed by LAMDA Development, the tower is designed to reach approximately 200 metres, positioning it as the tallest building in Greece upon completion. Construction began in 2023, and during 2025 the project passed the halfway point in height, marking a phase where façade execution and glazing coordination become particularly demanding. Completion is widely reported for 2026.

VASGLASS is involved in the glazing works for Riviera Tower, providing glass processing and specialised bonding-related services as part of the project’s glazing supply chain. The scale and residential nature of the tower require consistent output, controlled tolerances, and reliable execution across a large number of repeated units, areas that align directly with the capabilities reinforced through the company’s recent production upgrades.
